Guruji belongs to the Arul Shiva Arumuganar family of Vaitheeswaran Koil, long associated with the preservation and practice of Nadi Astrology. Guruji represents the fourth generation of that lineage, with a fifth generation now continuing the work.

His path

Guruji began his spiritual training young. Over the years, his interests grew beyond Nadi Astrology into historical research, Tamil literature, and spiritual counselling — two threads that have run through his life ever since: continuing the family’s Nadi tradition, and preserving Tamil literature and cultural heritage for a modern audience.

In more than 40 years of consultations with people from India and abroad, he’s come to know the questions people actually bring to a Nadi reading — career, marriage, family, education, business, health, spiritual direction. For Guruji, that work is less about prediction and more about helping people understand their circumstances clearly enough to make decisions with confidence.

Academic background

Alongside the inherited tradition, Guruji holds a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. His doctoral research, completed at Annamalai University, focused on the Srirangam Ranganathaswamy Temple during the Vijayanagara period — reflecting a long-standing interest in history, Tamil culture, and temple heritage that runs alongside his astrological work.

Decades of practice

Palm leaf manuscripts, traditional Tamil phrasing, the identification process, reading the different Kandams — none of that comes from a manual. It’s built through years of training and practice, and Guruji’s work sits within the broader tradition of Vaitheeswaran Koil, one of the places most associated with Nadi Astrology.
